Wine Making Directions
Please help with my new female labrador : she wines a lot?
We just got a female lab from the local pet clinic yesterday. Her name is Angel Eyes, though we call her simply Angel. She is 44 days old. And she is soo cute!
Last night, following my uncle’s directions I left Angel in the balcony of my house. He said she would pine and cry for a week and then would be quiet.
I did not have the heart to leave her out for the entire first night though, because she kept making crying sounds. However when I let her in, she would wag her tail and come in, and would lie down next to my legs. After some time though, she would start making wining noises. and then keep quiet.
I cannot help but fathom, is this normal? We just fed her and she has finished her bowel ordeals. What do we do?
Any advice on how to bring up a female lab is also highly appreciated.
Your dog misses its mother and its litter mates. That is perfectly normal. You are the one who will now has to take their place. I would never leave a new puppy out on the balcony all night. At least bring it’s box or crate into your bedroom and put it beside your bed. If it is in a box, you can hang your arm down into the box so the puppy know it is not alone. Some people also suggest putting a wind up type clock in with the puppy to simulate the heart beat sound of the mother. I have never done this, but have had people tell me that it does work.
